[RWP] midi controller

Here's a very simple setup that records midi from a single VSTI synth:
From the file menu select New Project and hit enter.
I like a metronome, so I press F10, left arrow to options and enable the
metronome and set the preroll settings I prefer.
Then I press ctrl+insert, go to VST and select the Dune VSTI synth, hit
enter, and I get a single track named Dune VST, no items.
While arrowed to the Dune track, I hit the tab key while on the Dune
track and make these selections:
Midi OutputNone.
Channel all.
Num Channels 2.
Send To Parent On.
Solo Off.
Mute Off.
Phase Off.
Effects Active.
Record Armed On.
Record Mode Input.
Record Monitor Normal.
Monitor Items Off.
Automation Trim Off.
Volume 0.00 DB
Pan Center.
I have only the 1 track, which is the Master/Parent track, and Send to
Parent is On, so I conclude that track is sending to itself.
I press R and I play some notes from my keyboard.
I hit the spacebar to stop recording.
With this barebones setup, I need to hit the W key to jump back to the
beginning of the recorded track.
I hit the spacebar again and I hear the notes I recorded.
To erase that entire midi track, I hit W to jump to track beginning,
hold shift and ctrl and press the right arrow to select all recorded
items, then hit the delete key, and I'm ready to record again on that
same track.
I'm pretty sure that this setup is the absolutely default track
configuration that ReaAccess sets up, the only thing I have change is
metronome enabled and record armed on.
