[RWP] accessing automated effect parameters

Reaper and I have never gotten on well from day one. I really want to
like this tool, but it hates me greatly, and has this wonderful knack
for making me feel incredibly stupid every time I attempt to do anything
semi-serious with it. Perhaps it's the fact that I mostly work in a
two-track post-production environment, and have used Sonar just enough
to get by, though I certainly do grasp the implications and fun
possibilities that an environment such as Reaper can offer, and have
hardware to really take advantage of it, not that I'll need to record
and return 16 tracks at once in realtime, but it could happen. I can do
that... Anyway, not the point of writing.

Since ReaAccess 1.1.2.0, the ability to access automated parameters has
existed, which is great for plugin interfaces that are mostly or totally
useless by default. However, at least to me, digging through a long list
of keyboard shortcuts and looking around various preference dialogues,
it isn't all that obvious to me as to how you're supposed to bring up
said interface to plugins. I haven't found it for a lack of trying,
though I'm apparently looking in all the wrong places. I've tried adding
the effect parameters to the track strip, though they don't seem to show
up that way, unless there's another keystroke you're supposed to use to
enable that, or something.
Everything is checked in virtual mode options, if that makes a difference.

Must people be wired a certain way to use this interface? Sure seems
that way sometimes.
