yeah plowing through the users manual using keyboard learn mode which
is F12 and looking over the keyboard shortcut and actions list are the
best way to learn now. For thinkgs like selection its tricky and took
me a while to get it and i definately like the way sonar handles this
better. You up and down arrow to select the track you want. then CTRL
+ left or right arrow to slect the clips or items on the track (the
screen reader should say where all the start points are as you press
the above command) then once ou have those selected  press CTRL +
Shift + [ & ] to set your start and end points   after navigating to
the exact locations in the time line.
