[RWP] Free PlugIns

Thanks, Derek, ReaSampler sounds too simple to serve as a real sampler.
I guess it would need a new instance for each sample.
Yesterday I tried the freeware Short Circuit sampler, and it does display the title of several pads on the screen at the number pad, plus some parameters just below each pad, but nothing like what would be ideal, which is pads at the arrow keys and parameters at the tab key.
There's no way I could work fast in Short Circuit fishing around for the right line on the screen among pads and parameters.
I don't need anything complicated, just the ability to assign maybe 16 samples onto keyboard keys or controller drum
pads, with a few choices of how they are triggered.
Sonar 8.5's matrix view does that, but maybe there's a plug that'll do the same thing in Reaper.

reasampler is a cute toy.
You can load a file in, asign it to a key, play with pitch and volocity, and that's about it.
One thing you can do is asign the file to play over only a sertain range of keys, and only in a certain volosity range. From what I can tell, it is only possible to load 1 wave file per track per sampler.
anything multi-tembral could get really messy.

Here are sources of free VST plugs that were recommended to me by a friend.
Of course, not all'll work well, or be accessible, it's a trial and error process.
By the way, has anyone tried ReaSampler?

Subject: [RWP] MIDI keyboards and Reaper

  Hey people,
I discovered reaper last week and thanks to Reaaccess I’m exploring it.

I want some input on how to go about using my keyboard to play with reaper. My midi keyboard that is. Since I don’t want to pay for a vst at the moment, can anyone tell me how to do this with any of reaper’s built in plugins? Like Reasamplomatic5000 or reasynth. Can they both do this? Does anyone know where to get some good free patches/ banks?

Also, I’ve got wav files, is there a way to play them through my MIDI keyboard in reaper?

  Thanks in advance.
