[RWP] Beginner Reaper questions

Okay, here are my first several questions.

1. From what I understand, there is no option in Reaper to save a project as 
one big file containing everything needed for the project. Would this be 
possible for a third party to implement? I.E. is the .rpp format readable 
outside Reaper?

When I hit the r key to record, it actually says "Record." Is there a way to 
start recording silently? I use an external DECtalk Express synthesizer, and 
my microphone would pick up the "Record" announcement.

After running Reaper a time or two, it puts itself on the start menu. This 
would not be a problem, except that I like to hit start, run, then type in 
something to run. Reaper being on the Start menu makes this impossible. I 
have to hit Start, R twice, Enter, then type in the filename or website. I 
went to Reaper in the Start menu, hit Applications, and selected "Remove 
from this list." That works, but it comes back after Reaper is run a few 
more times. Is there a fix? I'm running XP Pro SP3.

I set Reaper up to use a TranzPort control surface. The surface works in 
other applications, but not in Reaper. Does it have to be enabled or 
something?
