[RWP] Bad behavior of Media Explorer

Hi Derek,

Schwa, one of the key Reaper developers acknowledged a bug report that
Ivan filed on the forum some months ago. As far as I know those bugs
were also fixed, and that's when Ivan gave us working anouncements of
armed/unarmed states, the ability to speak which tracks in a session
were muted and soloed and suchlike. So they know we're here, they know
Ivan was working on a plugin for blind users, but to my knowledge
that's as deep as it goes. I'm very aware that this is starting to
sound like a bizarre DAW-based myth about creators and aliens lol.

Going on the silence that Mike and the Serotek crew are experiencing,
and the silence I received some months ago when I attempted contact
several times, I'd say working alongside them might be a way off. From
watching their activity on the forum though I don't think this is down
to any bad intentions, my guess is that They're just super, super busy
trying to keep their heads above water everyday, and can't think about
anything else yet.

Having said that, I'd 100% prefer the approach of working with Reaper
devs than using a DAW written specifically for screen reader users. No
offence intended Jinseng, you know that it's very rare that we
disagree bud, but in my experience of working with/for sighted people
in studios and live recordings, they want to know that their music is
going through something industry standard before they'll trust you to
make judgements for them. Reaper is not an industry standard, but it
has gotten people curious here because of it's speed and powerful
actions, so when they've left the studio to research it they'll
instantly see the hundreds of positive reviews from the big name
magazines and the fanatical users on the forum. A DAW coded
specifically for us just couldn't generate that media buz and be seen
as cool or "up and coming" by a wider audience I don't think, and
being able to secure that trusting relationship with a client can make
or break a session. So for home use you certainly have a point, but
out in the field it's important for us to be using mainstream products
I think.

Cheers
Scott
