ok well i thought using professionally made samples with a sampler is
close enough to waht you would be doing with one of the other drum
vsti and a big step up from how u use to do do it and seemed like a
resonable work around. I personally use drum loops and just slice and
dice where needed to customize stuff as if find it easier and quicker
than building them from scratch myself being that drums is the one
instrument i need to record on the regular that i don't play myself.
But to each their own i guess we all use the methods that work best
for us.
