[RWP] ultra-basic question: selecting track inputs in Reaper

Hello:

I've been on the list for a while, but have only just now bothered
trying to do anything with Reaper. So far, not such a fun experience.

I have a Presonus Studiolive 16.4.2 digital mixer/firewire audio
interface with which I would like to use Reaper. I've set it up as an
asio device in reaper, and set the full range of inputs and outputs.
However, I can't seem to find the option in the track view to change inputs.
I was told to press shift+context on the selected track, which I've
done. I see master send, sends, receives, hardware output, and midi
output. I have varified that changing the hardware output does indeed
work as expected, which is a good thing, as by default, tracks would go
across the first two channels of the interface, which I will almost
never want in practice. I can see somewhere on the screen that the
selected track is set to input on channel 1, or 1/2 if stereo input is
selected, but haven't found anything obvious to change it.
I'm running Reaper v3.63, 20 Jun 2010.

What completely obvious thing am I overlooking here?

I eventually want to arm multiple tracks on different inputs for
recording live sessions to separate tracks, like the seven individual
microphones on my drum kit, for example.

Thanks for any help.
