Hello,
This message is especially for Monkey Pusher, who is having the same problem
I've been having with selecting material on one or more tracks. The
assumption here is that you wish to delete material from one arbitrary point
in time to another arbitrary point in time, on one or more tracks. Here's
what you do.
1. Make your time selection, using Alt+Shift+Left bracket to start, and
Alt+Shift+Right bracket to finish.
2. Select tracks. Using unmodified up and down arrows makes the current
track the only selected track. Using shifted up and down arrows moves,
selecting the current track, but leaving other selections intact. As I
understand it, you can reverse the order of the time selection and track
selection if desired.
3. The part we weren't doing! It turns out, you have to select items. Hit
Ctrl+Right arrow or Ctrl+Left arrow. If it says "No items found" go the
other way. When you are on an item, any item, hit Ctrl+A.
4. At this point, do not, I repeat, do not! switch tracks, just to make sure
you're on the right track. This will apparently undo the item selection you
just did.
5. Hit Ctrl+Del. The material should now be deleted, from only those tracks
you've selected.
Hope this helps!
Jayson
