[RWP] chaining fx over tracks

The way I set the vocoder up is this:
Create one track with the vocoder added, and set that track's output to the
card of choice.
Create a second track called microphone, pan that hard left, set the input
to the microphone of choice, and set the send option (in the same menu as
audio output), to track 1. That will send the signal from the microphone to
track 1, the vocoder.
finally, create a third track for the keyboard, pan it hard right, set the
input to whichever device the keyboard outputs to, and set its send to track
1 as well.
Finally, arm all the tracks, set the record monitors to normal, and set the
"send to parent" option to off. I'm not even sure what that is supposed to
do, but it makes things have issues, so I make it die. What I"m not sure
about, is whether sends will work even if the tracks in question aren't
armed. I'm not in any position to try this, but maybe just arming track 1
and setting the monitor to normal will suffice.

If you want to have a midi trigger to a saw wave for the vocoder or
something else similar, that's a bit different, but I'm assuming you already
have something set up for that.
