[RWP] Ivan comes back

I'd love to see a way to start and stop recording, punch in and punch out if 
you will, silently. Currently, when you hit the r key, it says "Record" or 
"Play" depending on whether you're punching in or out. If you have an 
external speech synthesizer, or any other situation where speech is 
delivered via speakers in the same room as the microphone, this is a 
nuisance at best, and just plain unacceptable when it comes to really tight 
edits.
