Yes, but this doesn't affect the virtual interface, which is why I wish we could hear from the development team more on reaaccess.  its great for what it does, but there are areas which are no where near complete.

  If I'm not mistaken, which I probably am, when you add an effect, you actually have to choose the option to show it in the track view.  Having only done this once, I can tell you no more on that.
