Hi Matthew!
Wellcome to Reaper with ReaAccess! Hope you like it.
Here it is just a breathe discription to start.

1. to create a track press Ctrl + t;
ReaAccess will ask you to name new track, you can write it or just hit Enter to leave track unnamed (it will have number); you can name it or rename this track later with Ctrl + Shft + r.

2. now with Applications key open please the context menue of the newly created track and choose input for recording.
Please note, there many groups of context menues which are accessible with different commands.

3. don't forget to check the properties of your project - Alt + Enter.

4. Please check the metronom settings - Alt + Shft + m.

5. If you plan to use some effects for your track press f to access the FX window. You will be able to render the ready track with applied effect later - Ctrl + Alt + r.

These are some hints for the very beginning, please, ask anything you'd like to know and Reaperians will help you with pleasure.
Keep on!
Jinseng.
