[RWP] sound cards and audio interfaces.

Hello everyone. This question is not really about Reaper or Reaaccess, more about the hardware everyone uses with it. 

Could anyone suggest what sound cards and external USB and firewire audio interfaces are particularly suitable for use by the visually impaired. I am particularly thinking about the software supplied for the mixer and control of the various facilities of the sound card or audio interface. 

Any comments suggestions of equipment or the types you use would be helpful.
