Hello, I'm Rene, new to ReaAcces actually, but not to Reaper...
I'm a songwriter/producer from the Netherlands, doing this as my daily
job. I've been using Reaper for three years now and I can tell you that
it's absolutely my favourite daw!
I use Nvda and Hal as my main screenreaders and actually had no problems
using this fantastic piece of software! What I especially like about it,
is that it lets me create my own keyboard shortcuts for almost
everything in Reaper, which is really great, compared to many other
daws. I tried many of them to be honest...
Yesterday evening someone told me about ReaAcces and curious as I am, I
installed a copy to check it out.
The first thing that I noticed was the fact, that all my keyboard
shortcuts had dissappeard and it was also impoossible to click on assign
keyboard shortcuts" in the preferences menu, so that I could import my
own keymap again.
Checking out the reaacces shortcuts I missed a lot of advanced editing
shortcuts, which are really important for me doing my job. The way
ReaAcces works with NVDA is absolutely great! unfortunately I had to
uninstall ReaAcces, because I needed my own keymap, which doesn't say
anything about this program, but only about the way I'm working with Reaper.
If I could be of any help regarding the use of Reaper with ReaAcces and
keyboard shortcuts, Don't hesitate to let me know! I could send the
developers my own created keymap and you can always contact me to
exchange some thoughts on the subject! They're doing a good job anyway,
for such a fantastic daw!
All the best,
Rene
