[RWP] newbe with reaper, really stuck

Hi,
Good news: I got the sound working, but recording still isn't acting the way
I expect it to, sometimes it only records a haf a second of stuff, at least
that's what it plays when i play the recording. Or it might not record at
all even though Rea Access tells me otherwise.
I know I'm having so many problems because of the very difficult task of
getting into that user guide. Adobe Reader is always crashing when trying to
read all the 418 pages. time to go looking for alternatives. I know Nuance
has something, hopefully that can handle it.
