Yeah? Ok, what do you want, a chocolate bar? I'll send you one.
Seriously, that would be a great project for somebody who wanted one, who
understood the program, and who could write properly formed, and
unequivocally understandable sentences in English. What this program needs
is a good, blind-friendly manual. Reading about how ecstasy is just a few
quick, convenient mouse clicks, and a couple of swipey drags away gets on my
nerves, as usual.
But, first we need to get some more of the functionality exposed so we can
get to it.
One exercise that might be instructive, and useful later, would be if
somebody could get that manual in editable form, and go through it section
by section, striking out the clicky draggy stuff, and replacing it with a
how to from a blind perspective. Of course, most of the sections would be
punctuated by a special note ***not accessible***.
But, then, you would have a manual you could actually use. And, that
document would then be a guide to the things that need work.
In lieu of a comprehensive treatment of the program, a short, simplistic
tutorial that addressed the basics would still probably be a good thing
that would satisfy 90% of the idle inquiries, the people who want to have a
play, but who are not good at poking around and figuring things out on their
own. it wouldn't have to be the ultimate manual to still be useful, and
might save a bit of list chatter.
How do I create atrack.
How do I record on it.
How do I change the volume of each track, or the pan.
How do I delete a track. Or punch in in the middle of it.
How do I pick an input or output for the track, or patch an effect into it.
Very basic things like that.
So, if you are pretty knowledgeable on the program, guhHead and spend a
couple hours addressing the basics, and I'll send you a cookie. Or, are you
holding out for the chocolate?
<grin>
Ok, it you're holding out for chocolate, I reserve the rights to approve
the spelling. <big grin>
