It probably has something to do with the fact that I do read and delete stuff using my phone more than my ancient, cranky old desktop machine. I am seriously considering giving up on it and looking for an Apple Airbook to replace my laptop, which has it’s own set of quirks. I need to remember to send my submissions to my embosser so that I have a hard copy that can’t disappear into cyber space. Is Sally submitting anything? I have Marcia’s, Leonard’s and Cleora’s. I will send out my poem in a separate email. I spent two weeks beginning in Septemeber and ending in October with my 88 year old mother. I pulled this poem up because although she is advancing in senile dementia, I still see traces of the woman who raised me. Flashes of her charm, intelligence, and wisdom still flicker under the surface of the person who can’t remember why she went to her bedroom or sometimes how to dress herself.

Thanks for your patience as I deal with my own health issues, those of my spouse and my beloved mother’s decline.

DeAnna
