Hi, everyone, I am sorry, but I probably won’t be submitting anything this month. I will comment on your pieces, though, and participate in the call. To make a long story short, I have had a neck and back injury that finally sent me to the emergency room where I was put on muscle relaxants for a severe spasm. This made life comfortable but not productive. I am about fifty percent better but find it hard to sit at the computer for long periods. Then, yesterday my retired guide dog Greta died. She had spent her four retirement years with her Guiding Eyes trainer and her husband who gave her such a great retirement that I thought they should adopt me as well. Three weeks ago, Greta was diagnosed with lung cancer. She had several good days, but she died with Andrea and Jim holding her at the vet’s office yesterday. Those of you who have lost dogs can understand. Greta was almost fourteen and made my life and the world better for being part of them.
