Until it was<br>played continuously, everywhere on:<br>Country stations, Soft Rock, Adult Contemporary, Hot AC, in<br>grocery stores, restaurants, the dentist's office.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>It played on my clock radio at 6 a.m. on my<br>way to and from work, every<br>hour on the hour on the all hits all the time station. <o:p></o:p></p><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:EN-US'><br clear=all style='page-break-before:always'></span><p class=MsoNormal>Every time I'd punch a preset, <br>there it was like a stalker.<br>following me with its cloying, clingy, whiny, neediness Every<br>pathetic note stuck burrowed itself in my head like a tenacious migraine, an<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>infestation of daily life.<br>In the top ten on every chart imaginable for months.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Every time I'd hear a note I'd<br>want to explode, tear at my ears like a<br>child with an infection, muffle my<br>screams into a pillow and say, "make it stop!"<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I wanted to call every radio station,<br>demand to be put on the air and announce <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>"song, I need you to go away now.<br>Please give another song, any song a chance.”<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div></body></html>
