be focused mostly on what you like and what you might do differently or
otherwise improve the piece. Questions are also fair game, but since we don’t
want to engage in too much of a back and forth, questions could invite too much
engagement from the author and that can turn into a lengthy discussion. So I
recommend that questions be held to a minimum and that they are very easy to
answer without inviting debate.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>But
the writer does not answer any questions during the critique. After everyone has
given their critique, the writer will have an opportunity to comment if he or
she wants to. He or she may choose not to answer any questions put. The author
is there to listen and to use anything he finds useful. He doesn’t have to say
what that might or might not be. In fact, it’s usually better if the author does
not say very much about whether he liked a critique or found it useful or
not.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>I rarely comment on those
things when I am critiqued. <o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>

size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">I hope people who need 5 minutes would be
able to have that much time. It depends on how many people participate. The more
people we have, the less time for each critique. Some people may only need one
minute, and then we will have more time for others. That is why the critics need
to be prepared and organized in their presentations. When sighted writers meet
in person, they take a lot of time preparing their comments by scribbling on a
copy of the submission. So these groups go on for a long, long time sometimes.
In our case, we will have the manuscripts in advance and will prepare our
comments in advance, so we won’t need as much time when we meet on our phones.

authors is a great idea. I would like to have such a thing. In fact, that was
the original plan. However, it turns out that our sessions will be recorded and
any member can access the recording and fast forward to their own critique. So
these copies you speak of might be redundant. I still think it is a good idea to
send them.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>It’s up to
