It is possible for dectalk 5.0 to be found in various things, but a
speak window or a helpfully-packaged version has not surfaced. For
example, I am aware of an arduino-connected board that uses 5.0.
This isn't very helpful. From everything I have heard, the speech
sounds like a transitional case between 4.6.4 and fonixTalk. I do
believe that I was able to obtain a speak window for 5.0 from fonix
several years ago, but I have been unable to find it on the old
computer I think I was using. I'll report back if anything helpful
shows up, but I do not anticipate this.<br>

Alex,<br>
I know that Snoopi had obtained the file called DT 5.0 from Fonix
many years ago. I think it extremely likely that the repackaging
of 4.61 as 5.0 was done by Fonix. Knowing Snoopi as I do, I know
that he would not knowingly make any false claim. Since Fonix went
bankrupt a year or so ago, it is possible we may never obtain the
actual DT 5.0. Hmm. Ed, do you have this version of Dectalk? If so
would you be willing to share it with the list due to Fonix's
bankrupcy? For those who don't know, Ed is a Dectalk ingineer.<br>

Then there's me. Generally, I'm one of the more techy guys on the
list<br>
and very cynical and just lay it out.<br>
<br>
Speaking of versions, Snoopie's site claims to have Dec 5.0. But
is'<br>
just 4.61 in a repackage. It sounds the same, and about dialog and<br>
executable version strings are 4.61. So where's my 5.0? I want it
to<br>
finish the collection. LOL<br>
