            Talker from the command line on Windows 7, you&#8217;ll want to be
            in the directory where your copy of SB Talker currently
            resides (i.e. &#8220;C:\Users\Username\My Documents\SB Talker&#8221; or
            C:\SBTalker).&nbsp; Or, you can copy SB Talker to C:\SBTalker and
            put that directory in your path.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
        <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Once you&#8217;re in
            the SBTalker directory, run SBTalk.bat to load the driver.&nbsp;
            That&#8217;s SBTalk.bat, not SBTalker.exe.&nbsp; (If you run
            SBTalker.exe, you&#8217;ll get an error message that says the
            driver cannot be loaded.)<o:p></o:p></span></p>
        <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">To test
            SBTalker, type the following at the command line and press
            enter:<o:p></o:p></span></p>
        <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Read Hello
            world, this is a test.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
        <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">If you want to
            do further playing around with the Read program, type read
            and press enter.&nbsp; Here you can type a line you&#8217;d like read
            back to you and press enter. When you&#8217;re done in the Read
            program, press Control-C to get back to the command line.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
        <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">You can also
            run the sbaitso2 program and chat with Dr. Sbaitso.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
        <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">When you&#8217;re
            done playing with SBTalker, you can unload the SBTalker
            driver by typing remove.&nbsp; (This doesn&#8217;t delete the driver
            file, it just unloads it from resident memory.)<o:p></o:p></span></p>

            Jim. I have found this zip on other sites over the years but
            it is definitely hard to find. Although I can't get the
            programs in the zip file to run on Windows 7 i.e.
            sbtalker.exe, they should run under Windows XP. I remember
            getting sbtalker.exe and sbaitso2 to run on XP a few years
            ago even though I was not using a Sound Blaster card. I used
            the Sbaitso program which uses SBTalker primarily in my DOS
            days and had a lot of fun with it.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
