    Hi there,<br>
    By organising I'm saying that I removed empty folders, some
    duplicate files, such as in the folder Rachel Kaet. I also changed
    and converted all of the wave and ogg files to an mp3 file
    extension. In the Snoopy folder, I saw an empty one called Sandy. I
    thought the DECtalk archive could use a little cleaning up.<br>
    Also, I have Drop box, so I could probably send you a share link
    with all of the folders and you could download them or add to your
    own Drop box. How does that sound?<br>

      To the best of my knowledge, this is not what happens. Instead,
      your reorganization would simply mean that updates didn't occur.
      By the way, what organization did you use?<br>
      For large files, you could use a dropbox (or anything else) public
      link for me to download. For smaller ones, an attachment is good.<br>

              community; the dectalk archive is coming back.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">No, not like that. The website idea has
              always seemed like a bad idea to me; I spent so long
              several years ago trying to figure out just where the heck
              it was because it switched so often. Also, eventually
              somebody stops paying the cost on the servers and the
              domain name. I didn't want that. So I thought of a system
              that will keep the archive alive and well as long as there
              are still people who want to hear its contents.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-tab-count:1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

              </span>I am using a program called BitTorent Sync that
              will allow all of us to share the folder among our
              computers. We can easily acquire the content from each
              other and will all maintain it.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">By the way, I am wholeheartedly in
              support of sharing this folder as publicly as possible, so
              if any of you maintain some sort of dectalk page, you can
              place the folder secret there (with or without these
              instructions as you decide) so other interested people can
              connect to the folder. This should also make it easier for
              us to continue adding to the dectalk creations we all know
              and love.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">Advantages of this system include:</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">Before, if a lot of people downloaded
              the archive, the bandwidth costs would increase and the
              speed would decrease. This isn't fun. Now, the more people
              are involved, the faster is the download speed and the
              more stable is everything.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">Disadvantages:</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">You have to install the syncing
              program. I list this under disadvantages, but it's really
              not that bad. Below are the instructions for obtaining and
              installing BTSync and setting up the folder.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">For those of you who already have
              BTSync and know how to use it, have at it. The folder
              secret is</p>

            <p class="MsoNormal">For everyone else, see below.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">You'll want to read all of this before
              you perform the steps and will probably have to check back
              to the list on a few things.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">1. First, if you use NVDA, you will
              want to install the BTSync add-on. This makes the

              weird. You will get to a stage where it will ask you if
              you have a secret. You will want to select the "No, I
              don't" option here.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">4. It will also ask you where you want
              to store your synced shares. I would suggest you create a
              folder for these, something like "synced folders", under
              which all of your content will go.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">5. Using windows explorer, go into the
              folder that you created for syncs, and create a folder in
              here called "dectalk archive" or whatever you would like
              it called.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">6. When you have finished the
              installation process, open BTSync. There will be a list of
              folders, containing your folder.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">7. Navigate around the BTSync window
              until you find the add folder button and activate it (it
              only worked with the space bar when I tried).</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">8. In the "folder secret" box, paste
              the following line<o:p></o:p></p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">BFQETEL6FG4ERS3NAGHE2BXR6VMEWC7NH</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">9. Navigate to the browse button and
              select your "dectalk archive" folder.</p>
            <p class="MsoNormal">10. Press OK and close the window with
              alt+f4.</p>

            <p class="MsoNormal">You're good to go. The content in the
              dectalk archive folder will begin to download. You will
              also be sending this data to others on the folder.</p>

So far, there are four computers (including mine) connected to the folder. This is good, as now the download speed for those who connect now will be much higher than for those people who connected yesterday. I think we'll keep the folder as it is for a few more days to allow more people to connect, then I'll open it up for adding new stuff.
