The currently available release of Acapela for nVDA, which functions with NVDA 2019.3, is version 1.6. Since that version is publicly available and the license which I purchased years ago to use the product is activated, Acapela for NVDA might not be in beta anymore. The version 1.6 page says nothing about being in beta to my knowledge. The strange thing about Acapela for NVDA is that version 1.4 functioned perfectly on my system with my activated license, but 1.5 produced only various errors when I tried using 1.5 with various versions of NVDA. Fortunately, version 1.6 of Acapela's NVDA add-on functions with no problems on my computer with NVDA 2019.3. As I stated to Acapela in a recent email, I am a happy customer because I can again use what I paid for years ago.
I do not use the Vocalizer/Eloquence NVDA add-on, so I have no experience with Code Factory's product. If updated versions of the Dectalk NVDA add-ons are not created and therefore not compatible with NVDA from 2019.3 onward, at least I can continue using Acapela for NVDA, my product license and the available voices for it.

Yep. Both CodeFactory and Acapela have beta ad-ons for 2019.3. Tiflotecnia, which makes the other IMO more stable Vocalizer ad-on, has a beta for Vocalizer 2 (the first batch of voices they released) with an update for Vocalizer Expressive also planned.

Unless someone releases an updated version of the add-on, then no it won’t. even akapella had to release an update so it would continue to work with the new NVDA.

      Hope this helps

      Hi all,
Do any of the avaialble Dectalk for NVDA ad-ons function with NVDA version 2019.3? I installed NVDA 2019.3 Release Candidate yesterday. Since the Svox Pico synthesizer is apparently not compatible with NVDA 2019.3, I am thinking the Dectalk ad-ons will not function with the 2019.3 version either. I ainticipated this, nowing last year that NVDA would not allow incompatible old NVDA ad-ons eventually. That time has evidently come upon us because the 2019.3 Rleease Candidate will eventually be the Release version.
      Blake
