I now have the files for sbtalker. It will run in any 32-bit windows,
but not on a 64-bit one. I have a solution. I have put together a small
emulator for this program. So far, it works. This will emulate DOS
running the software. So far, this is a beta version (composed in twenty
minutes) and I expect to make improvements in the next few days. This is
why I haven't uploaded this anywhere. If you would like to try, you can
download it at

When this starts up, it will load the software into memory, which means
you can jump directly to the read stage. You can type read and a string
of text. Then, you will hear that string. You could also write simply
"read", and the program will read any text you enter from then on.
However, control+c does not work to close this, so the only way to end
it is to end the process from the task manager. It is possible that I
simply don't know how to exit, but what works on more modern systems
won't work.
I understand that this is clunky, but I'll do my best to fix this in the
near future. Also, if you are reading this and the link is broken, this
means I've finished work on this and the final version will be in the
software folder of the archive.
