Hello all. Brandon here, a new member to this dectalk list. It is
great to be talking to you all. commenting on text assist, if I am not
mistaken, is not text assist using a particular version of dectalk
possibly 4.3, but also, someone told me the paul voice is using a
bigger head size than what I am probably used to with such dectalk
versions as 4.4, 4.5, 4.60. just curious. and I have a fond interest
in dectalk, ever since I had done heard it for the first time on NOAA
weather radio. actually, the cool thing there was having heard it, I
was not able to tell what synthesizer it was. well, being the curious
individual I am, I talked to someone who knew, and they weren't sure
till they called the weather service in valley nebraska. they were
told later that in fact, they were using dectalk. if you were using
access32, it would have been close to version 4.41. I'd be interested
if there was a way to get 4.60, 4.50, 4.41, 4.40, and 4.3, to use the
same type of inflection had on the weather radio. if you listen very
closely to the weather radio dectalk, there is a very close distinction
with it's patterns similar to access32. curious if anyone knowss. thanks.
Brandon
