[DECtalk] Dectalk singing contest

Raymond,
I agree this contest needs some rules and that possibilities should remain
open. Some Dectalkists know how to mix Dectalk with background music
themselves, while others like myself need help from someone else to get
Dectalk and music mixed together.

One guideline I would like to suggest for the moment. I suggest songs not
have bad language. I myself refuse to program songs with bad language. More
to the point, eliminating bad language would make the contest
family-friendly. Just a thought.
Blake

One thing we should think about is what rules there will be. Will it be a
more open thing, where anything as long as it focuses on Dectalk singing is
allowed, even if you use an audio editor to sync harmonies, even add a
backup track. Or are there any guidelines to stick to? Personally I think it
should be more open, so that we can be real creative, and see how far we can
take it. But that may make it difficult for some people to compete, since we
are all different. some like just using Dectalk alone, others like me, like
to try new things with it.
