Well, I still have my Apple II GS with an Echo IIB in it and it still works.  The Echo PC which I also still own is the RS232 version.

LOL! Now that'd be fun. Anyone got an old external serial-port Echo? I
do believe they had those at one point - Crickets or something? I do
still have an Apple 2 with an Echo card, but the computer's power
supply is on the fritz and replacing it is expensive now that those
things are collectors items!
