[DECtalk] strange behaviour dectalk express and jaws 8.0

Hi all,

 

I am using the dectalk express with jaws for windows 8.0.

The dectalk has firmware 4.2 cd.

 

I have noticed that when pressing keys like tab and the arrow keys fast,
jaws periodically announces synth parameter characters such as "DV AP 100"
or "rate 250".

I have not noticed this behaviour with openbook or other screen readers.

Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?

 

I am using a usb to serial converter with a prolific chipset.

Could this be the problem?
