I own ha venerable DTC-01 dectalk synth from 1982 or 83.
it says, Dectalk version 2.0 is ready
But I have seen other similar dectalk on ebay with even older versions of the software inside.
It works pretty well for its age. I would say it's even better built by far than the dec express, but unfortunatly, for a dayly use with a DOS screen reader, it's absolutly awful to use because it's quite slow to respond and the stop command do not work!
but it's an interesting piece of hardware.
I bought it on Ebay from a guy that works from the University of Dundee.
I was glad to find some work they hmade with it on the dectalk on the dectalk archive site.
