Once all the rd stuff gets uploaded and we finnish everything, I think that we sould have the archive put in a torent and hosted somewhere or just hosted somewhere.
I don't see much in dectalk.
Especially now we have vocoders and other things.
Also, I think we have got loads of use out of it and used all the creativity of it.
However dectalk seems to have other synths in it.
But who knows.
Its not realy important it survives.
I think Most of us have just about the entire things on our hard disks.
After rd is done, and every audio file is up there we should leave the thing up for 6 or so months and then just close the main servers.

>Hi. Well folks, I'm afraid that I would agree with Andre here. I think it's cool and funny to listen to DEC-Talk doing weird things too, but the archive is basically dead and I don't really see much point either. I certainly have no idea how to make it sing. I looked but it seems too complicated to me. If someone wants to do it, that would be nice but I just don't see much point. I think Andre said it best, go outside instead. As far as the archive, as much as I don't want to see it die, that is probably the best thing. Maybe Jayson or someone can host it to save bandwidth for Andre, but put up a notice that it is no longer maintained and will stay as it is. Nick could do that too I suppose. Unless someone has a burst of creativity and really wants to do something else, I don't really think there will be much life left in the archive as far as new stuff or anything. The possible exception might be Red Dwarf but we're almost done with those too.
